Indeed, one of my colleagues here at Jet Set said that SLIDE on blu-ray looks so real that it seems almost voyeuristic to watch it! You might be outside with nasty weather (though that’s rare in LA), or inside in strange locations (like warehouses that haven’t been cleaned since the Great Depression) or arrive to find a homeowner who has decided at the last minute to allow you to shoot in only one room of a 10 room mansion.

But that was definitely NOT the case working on SLIDE!

SLIDE was shot poolside at a private home whose owner designs and builds pools and poolside features such as, uh, slides—hence, the movie’s title.

So we were pretty much in paradise for three days as we put together our first high definition feature and the first with four of our five exclusives: Newbies Derec Stone and Marcus Steele; sophomore David Dakota; and third time “vet” Dylan Wood.

For Derec Stone, this was his first full action DVD. If he was nervous at all about it, he sure didn’t show it. Maybe it’s just that he’s a pretty easygoing guy, but nothing seemed to ruffle him. And when the cameras went on, he dove into his scene with David Dakota tongue first, grabbing his fellow exclusive and getting the ball rolling with a passionate kiss. It only got hotter from there!

SLIDE debuts later this month. Watch for it and see what I mean!

This year was significant because it was our first time to participate in the fair. Overall we had great time. The response from the fans was overwhelming and we heard nothing but very positive things about Aaron James, David Dakota and our Jet Set Men line of movies.

Our booth was located on Folsom Street just north of the intersection of 8th and Folsom. Aaron and David showed up in full leather and kept the fans entertained with photographs and autographs all day.

September GAYVN Coverman Dakota, 32, has a prime role in Jock Tease, playing a baseball player hot on the cleats of Chris Thomas, the movie’s narrator, whom he bottoms for in the film’s climatic “baseball” scene. But the always-smiling “Muscles of the Midwest” has been a very busy boy: Though Jock Tease is Dakota’s first film for Jet Set, it will be followed in quick succession by two additional films. First, he’s featured on the cover of October’s sexcapade SLIDE from Chris Steele. Then, he’s a tough “gym” coach in November’s Muscle Mountain for the first-time directing effort of yours truly.

This weekend’s booth at the Folsom Street Fair is Jet Set’s first-ever appearance at the annual leather festival, coming as it does nearly three quarters of the way through an historic year for the company, which has seen its sales sky rocket with smash hit to smash hit, starting with the Chris Steele-Chad Donovan blockbuster On Fire! and other notable top sellers, including Chris Steele’s Big Dick Society and Hung Country for Young Men. These rising sales, along with a new flashy flash-based website and new leadership under Jet Set Head Honcho Chris Steele lead GAYVN Magazine in September to proclaim that Jet Set Men has “jet[ted] to the A-List.”
